Our Outstanding nursery in Slough supports your child’s development from the age of 3 months to 5 years. Our bespoke settling in period gives you and your child the opportunity to become familiar and confident with our nursery at a pace that suits you both.
Slough Day Nursery boasts an impressive adventure garden that is constantly evolving with the seasons and mirrors the children’s interests in the classroom. This includes a large train so children can explore different ways of moving, a 'mark-making' area with various writing tools and sizes of paper, a construction area with different sized bricks, soft foam bricks and connective balancing beams.
The staff team at Slough nursery are well trained in developing your children’s interests and allowing them to grow. Using Bright Horizons Growing Enhancements, we are able to develop and create new, fun ideas to ensure your child will be ready for school. Each month there will be a different focus around a specific enhancement. This will be showcased in reception with activity ideas for you to take home.
We are conveniently based within Europe’s largest trading estate. We are in a prime location for businesses within the estate and are close to Burnham and Slough train stations for commuters to London.
As one of the leading nurseries in Slough we are well within the catchment of a number of local primary and infant schools, including Cippenham Infant, Cippenham Primary, Priory Primary, Our Lady of Peace Primary and Arbour Vale Primary, which is a specialist SEN school.
We will be delighted to welcome you to Slough Day Nursery and Preschool. Our friendly, experienced and highly qualified staff are on hand to conduct a personal nursery tour at a time to suit you.

I am Lucy Hines, The nursery manager at Slough Day Nursery and Preschool, I joined Slough in April 2008 as a nursery assistant as part of the Nursery Room team.
I worked my way up to the Room Supervisor role, also completing my Level 3 Childcare qualification with Slough. In December 2016 I was promoted to Acting Assistant Manager at Slough Day Nursery. In February 2018 I was then promoted to Nursery manager. I currently hold a foundation degree in Early Years Practice.
My Main passion is ensuring that my nursery and my staff team create a safe, warm, caring and stimulating environment for the children to learn in. I ensure that my staff team provide the children with great opportunities to develop and learn to their full potential individually .
I became a mummy to a little boy in December 2019 and he has since joined the nursery, so therefore I can really relate to parents when starting their little ones and give them all the support they need when starting their journey at the nursery with us, here at Slough Day Nursery.
I am the Deputy Manager at Slough Bright Horizons Day Nursery and Preschool. I am qualified in Cache Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education. I have been working at Bright horizons for 4 years.
I thoroughly enjoy working here and helping both staff, parents and children feel safe, happy and respected. Meeting and socialising with new people also helps me learn new things and ways that I could help make our nursery even better!
The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
