Welcome to Quayside Day Nursery and Preschool, based n the beautiful grounds of the University of Suffolk. At our Ofsted Good rated nursery in Ipswich, our warm and nurturing team provide the best care and early education for children aged 3 months to 5 years.

Resources and Rooms for All Ages

In our Discoverers room, children aged 3 to 18 months enjoy open-ended resources and lots of space to crawl and cruise. With plenty of learning opportunities to explore and a lovely veranda area outside, your little one will love spending their days here.

Children aged 15 months to 2.5 years old love their Explorers room, where there are endless options to explore through play. Children in this room also have a covered veranda as well as their own garden area to take learning outdoors.

Our Adventurers room is for children aged 2 to 3 years old and has lots of space to thrive and explore their own interests.

In the preschool room, your child will have open access to all resources, allowing them to develop their decision-making skills.

A Bright Beginning for Every Child

Your little one will get the best start to their schooling life through our enriching and wellbeing-focused Bright Beginnings Curriculum, designed by our own Early Years specialists.

Building on the foundations of the government’s EYFS curriculum, Bright Beginnings combines a wide range of activities to nurture and develop the skills your child needs to flourish and reach their full potential. This holistic yet personal approach supports each child’s wellbeing, development, and progress – whether that’s moving rooms or preparing them for school.

Children also enjoy Boogie Mites music sessions where they can learn about the world through music and song.

Getting Ready for Their Next Steps

To ensure your little learner is confident to start school, preschoolers take part in our Ready for School programme, which brings structure and focus to maths, reading, writing and other essential skills they need for their next big learning adventure.

Active Learning in the Garden

We have a beautiful garden at our Ipswich nursery, which provides plenty of exciting learning opportunities. There is an extensive gardening and planting area, a forest area and plenty of age-specific spaces full of resources and activities to spark your little one’s imagination.
