Leverstock Green Day Nursery and Preschool in Hemel Hempstead (previously known as Tiny Toes) offers childcare and learning for children aged from 3 months to 4 years of age.
We are on the grounds of Leverstock Green Primary School, adjoining the Children’s Centre.
We have double entry safety system for our families security and protection. Our nursery is open all year round (excluding bank holidays) 8am-6pm.
Our professional and friendly staff work on a shift pattern to accommodate these opening hours. The nursery boasts spacious rooms which offer children a safe environment in which they can explore and learn and an inviting outdoor space which can be used in all weather conditions. The children at our setting are exposed to a variety of learning experiences and interactions through the talents of qualified Nursery practitioners. We encourage and promote a wide range of stimulating activities guided by the Characteristics of Effective Learning. Children are exposed to fun educational and creative play resources.
Our highly-trained team pursue key EYFS goals and respect both children and parents/carers. We are proud of the nutritionally balanced meals our in house chef provides using fresh produce.

I have been working in early year childcare and education for nearly 20 years and hold a level 4 in early years practice. I love working as a nursery manager, no day is the same and to see the staff team and children here develop and grow brings a great sense of purpose and reward to my professional career. One of our favourite activities at the nursery is creative play children and staff get really involved and love to tell me all about what they have achieved!
I have worked in childcare for 13 years, originally starting as a Nursery Assistant. From this role I have furthered my carer through professional development which has promoted me to the roles of Room Leader and then onto Deputy Management.
I joined Asquith in 2011, which placed me in great stead to provide high quality childcare and support to children and their families.
Following the merge of Asquith to Bright Horizons, I became part of the BH team in 2016.
I am IOSH (Health and Safety) trained and designated SENCo at Bright Horizons.
My job is my vocation- I am extremely passionate about all areas of childcare and education and these being delivered at high standards.
The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
