Kings Cottage Nursery

Why Children Love Us

A place to grow

Kings Cottage is located on the secure, leafy and green estate of Colworth Science Park, offering a friendly and welcoming environment. The excellent and nutritionally-balanced menus are prepared onsite using fresh ingredients, and vegetables grown by the children in the gardens allotment. In addition to the EYFS curriculum and alongside our very own Growing Programmes, Kings Cottage also inclusively offers activities such as Mini Strikers, Creative Cooks and Green Gardeners. Our highly qualified team helped us to secure an Outstanding in our latest Ofsted Inspection. Booking a visit is highly recommended due to the onsite security and booking in procedure required.

Meet the Team

Aimee Bishop

I started my childcare training in 2004 and achieved my NVQ Level 3 in 2005 where I then started working at Kings Cottage as a Nursery Nurse. Since then I have continued my training and learning progressing firstly to Senior Nursery Nurse, promoted to Deputy Manager and then in 2015 promoted to the Nursery Manager. I am married with a young daughter who is a joy to watch grow.

Julie Dix

I started in childcare 20 years ago as a Nursery Assistant, on having my own family in 1990 I then took some time to be an at home mum but also putting my childcare knowledge to good use by becoming a childminder. When my children were a little older I went back into a Nursery, continued my studies achieving an NVQ Level 3 in Childcare. In 2011, I joined Kings Cottage Day Nursery & Preschool as a Nursery Nurse but soon progressed to Senior Nursery Nurse and I am now the Deputy Manager.
