Meet the Team

Natasha Cottingham

I have been working at Bright Horizons Epsom Day nursery and Preschool for 10 years. I began my childcare journey working at Bright Horizons Epsom Day nursery and Preschool during the summer holidays, as a bank staff member while I was completing my level 3 childcare qualification at college. After this I became a Nursery Nurse at Bright Horizons Epsom Day nursery and worked with all of the different age groups within the nursery. Throughout the years I have progressed through the roles of Nursery Nurse, Room Leader, Third in Charge, Deputy Manager and I am now the Nursery Manager.

During this time I have also completed my Early Years Foundation Degree for 2 years and progressed onto completing a BA Degree in Early Years and Teaching, as I like to always keep my knowledge of childcare and education current and also enjoy sharing the learning with my team to develop their knowledge and understanding further. My hobbies are socialising with family and friends, going to the gym, reading and cooking. I thoroughly enjoy leading the team to provide excellent childcare and education. The team is like a big family, which provide a home from home feel for our children and families.

Maddiy Clancy

I have been working for Bright Horizons for over 7 years. My childcare career started in 2006 at Epsom Day Nursery and Preschool, where my love and passion for providing the best care for children started. During my career I have worked within all the rooms, and worked my way up to Deputy Manager.

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!
