My name is Megan Windridge and I am the Nursery Manger for Bright Horizons Eastleigh (formally known as Yellow Dot Town Nursery). I began my journey with the company as a Nursery Nurse in 2011.
I became a Senior Nursery Nurse in 2013 and promoted to Room Leader in 2016 after completing Advanced Practice Level 5 Diploma in Children and Young People. After a short period of time I then became the Deputy Manger where I was able to gain more knowledge and experience.
I then became the Acting Nursery Manager in July 2019 and with the team got a ‘Good’ Ofsted rating. I then officially got the role at the start of the year and what a crazy first year in the role it has been! I am very lucky to work with such an enthusiastic and passionate team who love what they do and want the best for the children we care for.
I have a passion for leading and inspiring a team to deliver outstanding practice.
I am passionate about helping them reach their full potential across all areas of development and making every day exciting.
Since 2013 I have been learning about child development. From a young apprentice to Deputy Manager, my experience in child development and management has grown with my passion for providing positive outcomes for children and their families.
Once I qualified with a level 3 in childcare I completed my leadership and management course. Now, as well as perfecting my practice I am growing in my supervision and business skills.
With a keen interest in child development and supporting a growing company I live every day as a school day. Keeping my values at the heart of everything I do, I continue on this journey to help shape bright futures for little ones.
I joined the company in February 2012 as a NVQ after completing my level 3 diploma I became a nursery nurse. At this point I had experienced babies and Transition children.
I then got a promotion as a senior, also doing my level 2 in leadership and management. After time and gaining lots of experience I got promoted to a room leader in the Toddler room.
Last year I was successful in getting a promotion to Third in charge, learning a lot on the way. I am grateful for my journey and love reaching the children’s goals in their learning and development.
The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer.
