Crewe Day Nursery and Preschool boasts a highly qualified and experienced staff team including an Early Years Teacher who aids in the learning and development of the children and fees which include all meals and snacks, branded nappies, cream, bottles and formula baby milk as appropriate. A fantastic large outdoor environment, a spacious sensory room and a creative art room enable our children to explore, develop and be creative. We offer a unique Ready for School Programme including Growing Readers, Writers and Mathematicians preparing children for their transition to school. Safe drop off and picks ups with convenient parent parking at the nursery. We have been awarded a 5 star kitchen food hygiene rating and provide children with an excellent nutritionally balanced menu.

I have been working in childcare since 1989, when I joined kidsunlimited (now Bright Horizons) as a student at the Wilmslow site. My love for working professionally alongside children developed rapidly and it was clear that my childhood career aspirations were correct.
I qualified in 1991 and was offered a position at kidsunlimited Wilmslow where I had completed my placement. I became an extremely keen and eager Nursery Nurse with great passion to provide exciting and stimulating experiences.
As my career developed, I was promoted to become a Deputy Manager and then a Manager. I have had many experiences as a Manager and have been lucky enough to work at a number of kidsunlimited and Bright Horizons nurseries such as Didsbury, Summerfields and Chester. My leader role was a fantastic career progression and I spent many years developing strong relationships with children, parents and team members.
After 11 years with kidsunlimited I decided I would like to try a training role and trained to become an NVQ assessor in Childcare for a private training company.
In 2009 I was approached by kidsunlimited to join the Crewe team as their Nursery Manager. It was nice to come back to a company I knew so well and to see how they had developed & grown. I have recently had two children whom both attend Crewe Day Nursery. My little boy Jack was born in August 2012 and my little girl Molly was born in January 2015.My career has been both exciting and very rewarding. I love being part of an amazing team that really do make a difference in the children’s lives we care for.
I have been working in childcare since I left college in 2005, I was employed by a private day nursery caring for the two to three year old children.
After some time in this position, my determination to develop prompted me to apply for the role of Deputy Manager at another private day nursery. I was successful in my application and was provided with the opportunity to develop myself further professionally, enabling me to enhance the learning and development of the children and my staff team.
Following on from this I completed my Foundation Degree in Supporting Teaching and Learning to further develop myself professionally; it was when this course was completed that I began to work for Bright Horizons (previously kidsunlimited).
I was initially appointed to cover maternity leave in the baby room, however luckily a position then arose in the pre-school room (again maternity cover). I was fortunate enough that this position become permanent and I have been able to establish a confident and structured team.
Loving the interaction with children I had been reluctant to apply for positions outside of the typical nursery room structure; it was however when the position for a room based deputy became available I was very keen to apply; giving me the opportunity to develop my knowledge and understanding but while also maintaining the interaction and supporting of the children.
