A place to grow

Windsor children's day nursery provides childcare in Windsor for the under 5s and is an OFSTED Outstanding rated setting situated just outside Windsor town centre (five minutes from the M4). We are proud to offer a safe and secure environment for the children in our day nursery, including entrance to the nursery via a biometric fingerprint recognition system that allows only staff and parents into the purpose built building.

Each room and outdoor area has CCTV installed, to reassure you and give you confidence that you are leaving your child in a safe environment. The day nursery in Windsor is open from 7.00am - 7.00pm, 51 weeks of the year (excluding bank holidays) allowing parents plenty of time to get to work. We fall within the catchment area of several local primary schools of Windsor, including St Georges, Oak Field, Queen Anne, Windsor Girls' School, Upton House and The Lawn.

The children's nursery has four main rooms designed for children aged between three months and five years with nursery room and pre-school on the ground floor, and the toddler and baby rooms on the first floor. Each room has beautiful handmade natural wood resources and furniture throughout, which are regularly refreshed to support your child's personal interests. The clean and well set up environments allow children to explore, experiment and investigate a broad range of experiences.

Our on-site kitchen holds a 5* food hygiene rating, catering for all children's needs whatever they may be. Allergies, intolerances or just a more acquired taste, we can accommodate all through our traffic light plating system. Our highly trained and knowledgeable staff receive ongoing training in childcare, best practice and safeguarding and work in line with the most current legislation. Every member of staff from childcare practitioners to gardeners, maintenance or support staff hold enhanced DBS checks.

We also have close relationships with the Local Authority's Early Years team who often refer to our setting to highlight outstanding practice to others. We hold tailored settling in sessions to suit the individual needs of each and every family before starting at the nursery. We operate an open door policy and are always free to chat, answer emails or calls and are there to support you if you feel anxious about your child's nursery day.

We will be delighted to welcome you to Windsor Day Nursery & Pre-School. Our friendly, experienced and highly qualified staff are on hand to conduct a personal nursery tour at a time to suit you.

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!
