Why Children Love Us

A place to grow

Enfield children's day nursery is rated 'Outstanding' by OFSTED, and holds a 5 star EHO Food Hygiene rating. Our 38-place children's nursery is situated in the David Lloyd Club in North London and has easy access to the A10 and the M25.

The children's nursery is open for 51 weeks of the year and operates from 7.30am - 6.30pm Monday to Friday. We offer morning, afternoon and all day nursery sessions and booking patterns will always be arranged to fit around parent’s needs for their child. Our bright and homely nursery offers provision for children aged 3 months to 5 years old.

The nursery in Enfield is a split site with our unit for children under 2 and our manager's office in one half of the building and the Pre-school and Nursery room in the second half of the building. We have three gardens for children to access, including a designated baby garden for our youngest children.

Our largest garden area has a large climbing frame, mini beast area, a digging pit, role play den and other exciting actives to keep our children busy!

Staff continuity is a priority at our day nursery in Enfield, with most staff having worked for Asquith for between 2-12 years. In addition to their long service, staff are able to access a wide range of training and support from our designated training team at head office.

Alongside the manager and assistant manager, there is is a full staff team within the nursery. With 3 room leaders, 8 nursery nurses, and 3 support staff, the nursery is able to provide continuous support for all children in our care. Staff turnover is very low, with many staff members having worked at the setting for over 10 years.

All permanent staff have been fully trained in Paediatric First Aid and have also achieved a minimum of Level 3 NVQ in Childcare. The management team have also attained BA (hons) in Early Childhood Studies. All staff Safeguarding, Food Hygiene, Fire Awareness and Health and Safety hold relevant qualifications and receive on-going training in these.

All staff are subject to strict referencing, training and police checks before starting at the nursery. All permanent staff have a full and valid paediatric first aid certificate.

As well as having a spacious car park, the nursery has a designated buggy storage area located outside the under twos unit to enable parents to drop their child at the nursery as smoothly as possible.

We will be delighted to welcome you to Enfield Day Nursery. Our friendly, experienced and highly qualified staff are on hand to conduct a personal nursery tour at a time to suit you.

I have an honours degree in Education along side over fifteen years experience working in a variety of positions within the education sector. I have previous experience delivering training in SEND and I worked on a one to one basis with children in schools.

As an educator, I believe in creating an environment that promotes children’s independence and self belief.

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!
