Asquith Cheadle Royal Day Nursery

Why Children Love Us

A place to grow

Cheadle Royal Day Nursery, rated GOOD by Ofsted, opened in July 2016 following a £100,000 investment to create a beautiful, dedicated baby and toddler nursery catering for children aged three months to five years.

At Cheadle Royal, we understand how daunting the prospect of leaving other people to look after your child can be. This is why we have a wonderful team of highly qualified, friendly and professional nursery nurses and a Paediatric Nurse to provide you with that extra level of reassurance. You will also receive up to £750 worth of FREE settling in sessions to ensure your child is happy and settled to enable you to leave the nursery with complete confidence.

Following the Ofsted inspection in July 2016, the inspector quoted "Staff and children develop close bonds and secure attachments...babies and toddlers show that they are emotionally secure, as they become active learners and have the confidence to explore."

Working in partnership with parents, our staff follow individual routines to ensure children feel safe and secure, helping with the transition from home. Plus, every child is assigned a ‘key person’ who ensures they feel happy, secure and engaged in the right kind of activities.

Annette, our highly knowledgeable and experienced Nursery Manager at Cheadle Royal Day Nursery is currently working towards her BA honours in Early Years and the majority of our experienced practitioners hold a BA honours in Early Years. Annette and her team strive to provide the children with the very best start in life.

The nursery is equipped with high-security systems including CCTV and a secure door entry system.

Delicious, healthy and nutritional meals are freshly prepared on-site using ingredients sourced from trusted suppliers. We also have weaning menus for the three stages of development. Following a recent inspection of the kitchen facilities at the nursery, we are delighted to announce that we have received a 5 Star Food Hygiene Rating.

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!
