Being a Key Worker and Saying Goodbye

We asked our staff, what it mean to them seeing the children in their care to ‘graduate’ from the nursery and embark on their new adventures.

Collette from Twickenham Day Nursery: “It has been such a pleasure watching her grow and develop throughout the years at the nursery. I will miss her but wish her lots of luck at big school and I look forward to meeting lots of new little faces.”

Joanne from Twickenham Day Nursery: “I have loved every minute of the past four years, watching this little girl grow and develop into the wonderful 4 year old she is today. I will miss her very much but I know she is more than ready for school and I look forward to meeting our new families.”

Being a key worker & saying goodbye

Shannon from our Greenwich Day Nursery: “ I feel so happy that we have helped teach our children how to write and count to prepare them for school. Seeing the children’s excitement when describing their new schools and what they will be learning is great!”

Mauricio from Greenwich Day Nursery: “I feel very moved and a part of me is sad to see the preschool children go off on their new journeys. At the same time, I feel privileged in being able to create happy memories for our children and I can really picture them being the leaders of our world as they grow up.” Mauricio

“This time of year is always a sad but exciting period as we watch the children go off to their new schools and adventures. It has been a pleasure to be a part of their learning and to witness them grow into strong individuals. I am certain that they will flourish at school and feel proud they have graduated from Bright Horizons Greenwich. ” Rezwana Islam, Assistant Nursery Manager, from Greenwich Day Nursery.

“It’s truly been an honour to be able to scaffold a child’s learning and development and prepare them for one of the biggest journeys of their childhood. Bright Horizons have an incredible ready for school programme that supports the development of our children, providing them with secure foundations to go on to be strong individuals and leaders of their own adventures. It’s been a pleasure to work alongside the parents and children during this exciting albeit sad period, we will miss them all. Good Luck!” Jay Emirhan-Kantar, Nursery Manager at our Greenwich Day Nursery
