Rugby Nursery Children Embrace First Forest School Session

Children at Bright Horizons Rugby Day Nursery and Preschool have been engaging in play involving heuristics.

The children enjoyed making mud pies and role-playing by melting marshmallows on the pretend fire.

“Forest schools have many benefits to children's holistic development such as building the children’s self-awareness, independence and communication skills,” said Nursery Manager Laura Smith.

Forest school is an inspirational concept providing learning opportunities through practical activities in an outdoor environment. Children enjoy the freedom to explore and experience the natural world in all seasons and in all weathers.
