Children at Bright Horizons Oxford Business Park Day Nursery and Preschool enjoyed becoming creative cooks with a chopping and tasting activity.
Using safety knifes and peelers, the children were able to chop their own fruits and vegetables, then taste them with the support of their key workers.
“The children enjoyed experimenting with the tools, then sharing the fruit and vegetables with their friends,” said Nursery Manager Zoe Oland. “During the activity the children were able to develop their simple vocabulary, using words such as ‘cold’ and ‘wet” to describe the tastes.”
