Children at Bright Horizons Toyota Bumpers Day Nursery and Preschool in Burnaston, Derbyshire made their own poppies ahead of Remembrance Day last week.

The children have been exploring different shapes and used their knowledge of shapes like squares, circles, triangles and rectangles to create the poppies.

“The children were really focused and concentrated to complete their poppies, using lots of different techniques and small hand and finger movements,” said Nursery Manager Lisa Snell. “It prompted lots of questions and conversations.”
