Children at Bright Horizons Didcot Day Nursery and Preschool have been taken part in a number of themed activities linked to the Olympics, having been inspired by watching the Games currently taking place in Tokyo.
Staff arranged a ‘mini games’ for the preschool children in the nursery garden which included throwing activities, balancing and long jump. Each child received a participatory medal to take home.
“The activities linked to the following areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS): physical development, understanding the world, communication and language, mathematics and personal, social and emotional development,” said Nursery Manager Ellis Corcoran.
