  • Employees at Bright Horizons feel a strong sense of Trust, Fairness and Wellbeing in their workplace.
  • Bright Horizons recognises that women represent a valuable talent pool in an increasingly talent–constrained environment.
  • Bright Horizons lives up to its company values with leaders making meaningful changes to improve their ability to recruit, retain and nurture top female employees.

Bright Horizons has over 30 years’ experience of working with leading employers to identify and support the dependant care needs of their employees throughout their careers and at every life stage. Bright Horizons’ wellbeing strategy for its employees is a three-fold focus: Emotional, Physical and Financial, believing that a holistic approach is essential in order to provide support and benefits which are appropriate and meaningful to all members of its diverse employee community.

Ros Marshall, Managing Director at Bright Horizons UK, said: “Having our organisation recognised as being a great workplace for all, including women, matters to us. Bright Horizons is founded on a desire to care for others and is a deeply human business. Our company is shaped by our HEART values, Honesty, Excellence, Accountability, Respect, and Teamwork. We are proud that they remain our guiding principles and help to create our working environment and a culture that is fair for all.”

Talking about the culture at Bright Horizons, an employee said: “Bright Horizons is unique. Here you are accepted for being 'you' everyone brings something different, and everyone is accepted. We are all here to make a difference in the wellbeing of the children in the nurseries every day and this is evident in every person I work with on a day-to-day basis.”

As Benedict Gautrey, Managing Director of Great Place to Work® UK, explains: “We’re delighted to recognise so many great organisations in this fourth year of the UK’s Best Workplaces™ for Women list. The issues affecting women in the workplace, particularly what we’ve witnessed in the face of the pandemic including parity of pay and advancement opportunities, continue to be important topics. We are proud that, thanks to this ranking and the insights afforded by our successful organisations, we can help raise awareness of the importance of fairness around pay, recognition, training and development opportunities, and work-life balance. What our 2021 UK’s Best Workplaces™ for Women clearly show is the positive impact their practices have on business. As a result, they are better able to attract and retain women of talent, encouraging them to develop professionally and personally, and in turn, contribute exponentially to the success of the organisations they work for.”
