Edinburgh nursery children embrace forest school visit

Bright Horizons News

Children at Bright Horizons Morton Mains Early Learning and Childcare in Edinburgh recently enjoyed an educational trip to a nearby forest.

The children all showed delight as they climbed trees, made a tree swing, created bow and arrows from twigs and began to re-build their den from last year.

“It was like we had never been away from the forest,” said Nursery Manager Karin Duguid. “The children will be going to the forest two days a week and it will be the same group of children going for a six-week period, so they get the full forest school experience. This way, the children will be able to explore new things, carry their learning forward and be able to use and discuss what they have been learning about the environment.”
