Reading nursery children become pirates for the day

Children at Bright Horizons Inglewood Day Nursery and Preschool in Reading recently enjoyed dressing up as pirates for the day.

The children proceeded to build their own pirate ship which they made out of materials they found around the nursery, in an activity which enhanced their teamwork and socialising skills.

“It started off with a few crates and slowly, with teamwork, began to materialise into a pirate ship with a mast made of water bottles and the sides made from carboard boxes which were decorated using glue, paints and any media the children could find,” said Nursery Manager Sonia Panchal. “The pirate hats were particularly colourful and added to the theme.”
