Liverpool nursery children add buckets to water play sessions

Bright Horizons News

Children at Bright Horizons Broadgreen Day Nursery and Preschool in Liverpool have been continuing their love of water by extending water play sessions to include various sized buckets, scoops and water channels.

The children displayed high levels of excitement and engagement as they investigated the different pieces of equipment. During play, staff focused on developing children’s awareness of mathematical concepts such as weight and capacity.

“It was such a joy to watch the children lead in their water play sessions and hear their laughter as they were busy,” said Nursery Manager Stephanie Dickinson.

Bright Horizons now provides twice-weekly access to Covid-19 lateral flow tests for all staff within our nurseries, in line with the Government’s guidance and protocol for early years settings in England. This marks the latest step in Keeping Everyone Safe within our nurseries.
