Basingstoke Maths

Children at Bright Horizons Basingstoke Copper Beeches Day Nursery and Preschool have been developing their mathematics skills by taking part in a variety of activities as part of the organisation’s Growing Mathematicians programme.

The activities included counting, recognising, measuring, addition and subtraction with a range of materials. The Growing Mathematicians programme aims to emphasise the importance of mathematics in everyday life.

“It was great to see the children work together and support each other to aid the enhancement of their maths skills during the activities,” said Nursery Manager Nikki Paine. “A particular favourite was measuring how tall each of them is.”
