Children at our nurseries in the north west have been enjoying the recent snowfall, check out our pictures below!
The children enjoyed stomping in their wellie boots, creating foot prints and exploring the cold texture while using cutters to create different shapes.
“By digging with the spades, they even helped each other to build a small snowman,” said Deputy Nursery Manager Aimee Martin. “The children also explored some snow in the trays back inside the nursery.”
The children have been outside to learn more about the cold weather and what you should wear to play in the snow safely.
“Everyone at nursery was so excited that it snowed,” said Nursery Manager Sally Thornton. “We loved feeling the big fluffy flakes land on our faces and watching them fall from the sky. We stomped and dug the snow too.”
The children made footprints in the snow and even made their own snowman, giving him eyes, nose and a mouth.
“They had lots of fun playing in the snow and it was a great way for the children to interact with the natural world around them,” said Nursery Manager Sarah Jones.
