The staff team at Bright Horizons Tooting Looking Glass Day Nursery and Preschool have been officially recognised as “School Heroes” by Rosena Allin Khan, the Member of Parliament for Tooting.

The nursery received both an official certificate and House of Commons letter from Allin-Khan, who described the nursery as a credit to the community. She also wrote that the recognition is “testament to the extraordinary work that you have put in and the way that Looking Glass Day Nursery and Preschool has navigated this national crisis.”

The MP had recently asked her constituency for nominations of School Heroes, seen as people who work in schools that have gone above and beyond in the service of their community.

Nursery Director Nadia Kiani said, “We are thrilled to be receiving this prestigious School Heroes certificate from our local MP for providing an outstanding childcare during very uncertain times. Very few things in life are entirely the work of just one person – and this is no exception. The team at Bright Horizons Tooting Looking has been an amazing inspiration for our children and parents. We have faced several challenges during this pandemic, but each one of them has only strengthened us. We are very proud of this achievement and would like to thank all parents for their continued support.”
