Basingstoke children explore magnets and magnifying glasses

Children at Bright Horizons Basingstoke Day Nursery and Preschool have been exploring magnets and magnifying glasses.

The children used magnets on a variety of materials to see which would stick and they also enjoyed looking at different things through the magnifying glasses.

“They found it hilarious that their eyes got so big when you hold the magnifying glass up close to their face,” said Nursery Manager Nikki Paine.

The activities were part of Bright Horizons’ Growing Scientists programme which aims to help children identify scientific activities which occur in their everyday lives.
