Parents rate Aberdeen nursery as one of Top 20 in Scotland

Bright Horizons St Swithin Early Learning and Childcare in Aberdeen has been rated by parents as one of the Top 20 nurseries in Scotland, out of 738 early years settings across the country, for the second year in a row.

The Top 20 nurseries in Scotland received an award from the leading day nurseries reviews site, daynurseries.co.uk, with the award based on the nursery’s reviews from the children’s families and carers. The nurseries were rated on overall standard, facilities and outside space, learning, resources and equipment and ICT, care, activities, staff, food and nutrition, management, cleanliness, safeguarding as well as value for money.

Caroline Fenton, Nursery Manager at St Swithin Early Learning and Childcare, said: “Once again we are thrilled to have received this award for the second year running. This award is a true reflection of all the hard work and commitment my team bring each and every day, making sure every child in our care has a fun-filled day of learning tailored to their individual needs. We would like to thank our wonderful families for selecting St Swithin as the childcare provider.”

Amanda Hopkins, reviews manager of daynurseries.co.uk, said: "We would like to congratulate St Swithin Early Learning and Childcare on being rated by parents as a top nursery in Scotland. Being chosen as one of the best nurseries by family and carers of children that attend the setting is a huge achievement.

“Reviews of Top 20 nurseries show these settings offer children stimulating and nurturing environments, which boosts their social and emotional wellbeing and enhances their learning. A child’s brain goes through huge changes in the first five years and these formative years impact on their whole life, which is why we celebrate those nurseries, which play an essential role in educating and caring for children.”

The daynurseries.co.uk awards are being sponsored by Bamboo Childcare, early years specialists in recruitment, training, consultancy and networking events.

Eleanor Patel, Bamboo Childcare director, said: “Bamboo Childcare, as a specialist recruiter, have always strived to be a market leader in terms of their understanding of the nursery sector. We believe we have achieved this status through our early years networking events, training division, working partnerships with our clients and our relationships with recognised publications within the sector.

“daynurseries.co.uk is an extremely valued resource for parents, carers, employees, employers and from our perspective, candidates, due to the detailed information given on every nursery as well as the genuine reviews.

“Every candidate we represent for a role is provided with the specific nursery link on daynurseries.co.uk prior to their interview; consequently, we made the excellent decision to sponsor daynurseries.co.uk #Top20Nurseries2019.”
