Bright Horizons Family Solutions® based in Rushden, a leading provider of high-quality childcare, early education and other services designed to help employees and families address the challenges of work and life, has announced it has been recognised as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces for Women in 2018 by the Great Place to Work® Institute.
Bright Horizons was placed 7th in the Large Category, meaning those organisations with 500 or more employees.
The methodology behind the ranking is one of the most rigorous and highly regarded, making the awards highly sought after. For consideration as a Best Workplace for Women, organisations were also asked to submit a detailed statement on their policies and practices relating to women.
"We are delighted to be recognised as one of the Best Workplaces for Women. This honour shows our practical and positive policies in supporting women, who support us in our mission to deliver exceptional care, education and family solutions, are working.” said Bright Horizons Family Solutions, General Manager, Lydia Hopper. “It is important that we now continue to be forward thinking in order to provide an enabling environment and the right culture where all of our employees can pursue challenging careers and thrive.”
Ben Gautney, Great Place to Work® COO said he was delighted to recognise Bright Horizons in his organisation’s first ranking of the Best Workplaces for Women.
“The issues around women in the workplace, particularly parity of pay, continue to be hot topics and we are proud that, with this ranking and the insights from our successful organisations, we are able to add to the agenda and continue to raise awareness of the importance of fairness around pay, recognition, training and development opportunities and work/life balance,” said Gautney. “What our Best Workplaces for Women clearly show is that this is the right way to do business. The result is they are better able to attract and retain female talent who are encouraged to develop professionally and personally.”
