Children at Bright Horizons Englefield Green Nursery and Preschool in Egham, Surrey recently celebrated World Oral Health Day.
The children made their own toothbrushes and then used these on a set of role play teeth to practice brushing techniques. Staff explained the importance of cleaning their teeth on a daily basis.
“The children spent time talking about tooth decay using a potato activity where the children spoke about fillings,” said Nursery Manager Stacey Dowsett. “They used sweetcorn and a paste to feel the gap like a dentist would in their teeth.”
