Bromley nursery receives ‘Outstanding’ rating from Ofsted

Bright Horizons Asquith Bromley Preschool and Day Nursery has been rated as ‘Outstanding’ after receiving its recent Ofsted inspection.

The nursery received its inspection on February 22nd and was rated as ‘Outstanding’ in all four areas of inspection: Effectiveness of the leadership and management; Quality of teaching, learning and assessment; Personal development, behaviour and welfare; Outcomes for children.

Inspection activities included the inspector observing the quality of teaching on activities taking place both indoors and outdoors. Comments from the Ofsted report included:

  • Remarkably dedicated and knowledgeable staff inspire children with an excellent range of learning opportunities. Staff give children time and space to develop their own play and intelligently guide and extend their learning. Outcomes for children are consistently high in relation to their starting points.
  • Children consistently demonstrate their passion and joy for learning. They explore and try out things, and have high concentration in whatever they do.
  • Parents are exceptionally complimentary about the setting. They highly praise the settling-in procedure and the updates they receive about their children’s development. Parents contribute to the children’s learning in the settling through home journals which provide valuable information about what children do at home.

“It is an amazing achievement for the whole of the team and I am so incredibly proud of everyone,” said Nursery Manager Nick Huddart. “We have all worked extremely hard to provide high standards of care and outstanding quality for our children and families and I can confidently claim that we are the very best nursery and Early Years’ service in Bromley.”
