Timperley children work on writing technique

Children at Bright Horizons Timperley Day Nursery and Preschool in Cheshire have recently been taking part in a variety of activities to improve their writing technique and letter identification, as part of the organisation’s Growing Writers Enhancement.

The children used a variety of materials including glitter which they then marked letters in after separating with sticks and pens. Deputy Nursery Manager Emma Dunsmore also confirmed that staff plan and adapt the activities according to the children’s development.

“We were delighted with the children’s application to the writing tasks,” said Dunsmore. “They always take pride in producing and forming their own letters to improve their writing ability.”

Bright Horizons’ Growing Writers Enhancement aims to support a child on their magical journey in becoming a creative writer.
