Lee Park Nursery receives Good rating from Ofsted

Bright Horizons Lee Park Nursery and Preschool in Lewisham has been rated ‘Good’ after its most recent Ofsted inspection.

The nursery received its inspection on November 14th and was rated as ‘Good’ in all four areas of inspection: Effectiveness of the leadership and management; Quality of teaching, learning and assessment; Personal development, behaviour and welfare; Outcomes for children.

Inspection activities included Nursery Manager Natalie O’Leary taking part in a joint observation and the inspector looking at a sample of children’s learning and development. Comments in the report included the following:

  • Staff develop effective partnerships with parents. They regularly share information about children’s achievements and offer ideas to support children’s learning at home to help provide continuity.
  • Children have opportunities to make choices in their learning and develop their independence. They are happy, confident and ready to learn through play. They make good progress from their starting points.
  • Staff know their key children well and place a strong emphasis on nurturing their emotional well-being and self-esteem. Children are well prepared for their future learning, including starting school.

“I’m delighted the dedication of my team to ensure we provide exceptional care and education has been reflected in our latest Ofsted report, said O’Leary.. “We will continue to reflect on our practice to ensure we are constantly providing the best learning environment for the children in our care.”
