Carer’s Week and Father’s Day both fall in June, giving a timely reminder that today’s families come in all shapes and sizes. This month we might find ourselves celebrating our role as a father, or perhaps honouring and caring for the parental figures in our lives.
For a growing number though, we might be doing both: caring for children and supporting adult loved ones. The sandwich generation has fast become the working norm and our recent research tells us that one in four is a working carer, with over half saying it has a significant impact on their ability to work.
