Meet the Team

Name of person

Jo Titcombe

I have worked in childcare since 2009 after achieving my Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education in 2008.
I enjoy working with staff to create safe, supportive and stimulating environments in which all children can flourish.

Name of person

Jane

I have been with WoodLand since it opened in 2002, and I support Jo in the running of the nursery.

Name of person

Michelle

I have been at WoodLand since 2004 as a student from the tender age of 16 and have qualified as an Early Years Teacher whilst working full time. My role at WoodLand is to guide and support our team of practitioners in promoting outstanding care and education for all our children and families. I deliver Parent Information Sessions on ‘Choosing a School’ and our ‘Ready for School’ programme. I have a young son who attends one of our sister nurseries and as a live wire, he certainly keeps me on my toes! With the little spare time I have outside of WoodLand I keep active, playing netball and going to the gym. I enjoy keeping up to date with childcare news by constantly researching, in particular with issues related to child psychology. As a result I am seen as the ‘Go-To’ person for child developmental questions, so if you have any, feel free to ask!

Name of person

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!
