A place to grow

Bright Horizons Witan Gate, in Central Milton Keynes, is open Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 18:30, for children aged 3 months to 5 years.

With an external play area where the children can flourish and explore while building a lifelong love of learning. Children in the nursery are well prepared to transition to school with our Ready for School Programme which includes Growing Readers, Writers and Mathematicians. Our unique Healthy Hearts and Minds activities provide inspirational and engaging learning experiences using the innovative and well established Boogie Mites and myHappymind programmes.

All our food is freshly cooked by our on-site chef and is nutritionally balanced.

The nursery is conveniently located within walking distance of both the Centre MK and Milton Keynes train station. There is a car park area for drop offs and pick-ups.

Meet the Team

Witan Gate Manager

Amrita Momi

I have worked in childcare 11 years and hold an NVQ level 3 in childcare & BA in children’s development and learning.

I entered the world of nursery care as an assistant and absolutely loved the job and wanted to develop my career in this field. Previously I have worked for smaller nursery groups where I gained experience as room leader, deputy manager and onto a senior managerial role.

Alongside my professional achievements I really enjoyed being part of every child’s growth and development, setting them up for a better start to schooling and this is still something I’m extremely passionate about.

Amy Potter

I have worked in the childcare industry for over 12 years, working with ages as young as 3 months to 5 years getting them ready for their new adventures at school.

I went to college to study Childcare then did my apprenticeship NVQ Level 3 in a nursery and enjoyed every minute. I really enjoy playing a part in each individual child’s life by helping them to grow and develop in their learning.

Candy Floss

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!

Why Bright Horizons

The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
