Children in our nursery are well prepared to transition to school with our unique Ready for School programme which includes Growing Readers, Writers and Mathematicians. We also offer an exciting variety of extracurricular activities including MAD academy, Leaps and Bounds, French and Click IT! Sessions available for all children.

Our nursery boasts a lovely outdoor area where we offer lots of opportunities for children to challenge themselves physically and incorporate outdoor learning via dedicated areas involving digging, writing, sand and water play and the mud kitchen. Meals and snacks are carefully planned in consultation with professional nutritionists and are freshly prepared on site in our 5 star environmental health rated kitchen by our experienced chef.

Our fees include all meals and snacks, plus branded nappies, wipes, cream, sun cream and formula baby milk as appropriate to ensure that there is smooth transitions between nursery and home.

Meet the Team

Rageena Abbas

I joined the Nursery in 2014 and previously worked in childcare for 8 years - starting as a Nursery Nurse and working my way up to Management. I currently hold an LLB Law Hons, a NVQ Level 3 and also achieved Early Years Professional Status Level 6. I have been a Nursery Manager for 5 years and I now oversee our Teddies Coulsdon Day Nursery and Preschool too. Wishing Willow has gone from strength to strength in recent years and we were thrilled to receive an ‘Outstanding’ rating from Ofsted in our recent inspection. I am very pleased to welcome you to our setting and can assure you that the staff team work tirelessly to to ensure your child learns, develops and, most importantly, has fun!

Gemma Bruton

I joined the company in September 2007. I started my career here, beginning my journey in our preschool unit. Over the years, I have gained experience in all the rooms. I gained my Level 3 in Child Care and Early Years in 2010. Part of my role is Health and Safety Officer, which means I make sure the nursery is safe for all children, parents, visitors and staff. I enjoy every minute working here at the nursery and am very proud to work alongside such an ‘Outstanding’ team.

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!
