A place to grow

Wembley Nursery and Preschool provides care and education for children aged 3 months to 5 years. Our fantastic transport links and on-site parking makes us ideal for commuting parents.

Our growing enhancement programmes and our three large gardens give children ample opportunity to explore the world around them and take part in sensory play with our mud kitchen. This play and exploration extends to our dedicated activity room.

Our dedicated and hard-working team helped the nursery achieve a Good rating in our latest Ofsted inspection.

Meet the Team

Bright Hoizons Wembley Laura Ferguson

Laura Ferguson

Coming from a family who work in the child care sector, it was inevitable that I embarked on a career in childcare.

Having made the decision at the very young age of 16 that I wanted to make a difference to the lives of little people, I began my Level 3 childcare qualification. From this, I got the studying bug and carried out further childcare qualifications to carry on enhancing my practice and empowering the team I managed to do the same.

I have been a manager for the last 7 years and can truly say it is the most rewarding job. Seeing children flourish in the care and education that we provide could not be more satisfying. Personally, I love nothing more than spending time with family, travelling, exploring new foods and walking our beloved dog, Angus.

I have been working in childcare for 25 years and currently hold a level 3 in nursery nursing. I love working at Wembley and within the diverse community here. Supporting the children to develop and grow is what makes this job worthwhile.

Candy Floss

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!

Why Bright Horizons

The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
