Welcome to St Swithin Early Learning and Childcare, where our experienced staff work together with families to nurture and care for little ones aged 3 months to 3 years. Focusing on this early stage provides the best start in life and enables children to thrive to their full potential.
Our warm and inviting baby room is the ideal setting for our youngest children to transition from home to nursery. The room is for babies aged 3 months to 1 year, and our nurturing staff provide learning opportunities and a lot of love and care, supporting your little one to meet their milestones. Babies are encouraged to explore their senses through play and gain confidence in their surroundings and abilities.
Your toddler will love their large room, which has plenty of space to explore and make discoveries. Children can take part in a wealth of fun activities, including messy play, role play, and loose parts. Our staff follow each child's individual interests to encourage their passions and independence.
In our over twos area, children aged 2 to 3 have three rooms full of fun resources and activities. The freeflow layout means they can choose where they want to learn and play. The messy room is always a particular favourite with the children, as it includes painting, clay, water play, and sand play.
We also have a separate sleeping room for peaceful and cosy naps and a dining room where the children can enjoy their meals together while learning about healthy mealtime routines.
To ensure your little learner is confident to start school, our older children take part in our Ready for School programme, which structures and brings into focus maths, reading, writing and other essential skills they need to get ready for school.
You can stay updated with your child's day through our Bright Horizons Family app.
Your child will love spending time in our exciting garden area, where they can participate in mini-beast hunts, have fun experimenting in the mud kitchen, get splashy with water play, perfect their fine motor skills on the trikes, and explore to their hearts content.
We also take regular walks around our local community, helping the children to gain confidence in their surroundings.
