I have over 20 years’ experience in the child care sector. I started in a nursery as a trainee practitioner and have worked my way up through each possible role. In 2016 I completed the new PDA level 9 Childhood Practice Award which is required for my role as manager. I love to watch the children grow and develop in to independent confident small people. I am really passionate about childcare and strive to make the nursery a fantastic environment for the children in our care. My team and I provide a secure family environment where you can feel relaxed and confident in the knowledge that your child is being cared for by dedicated staff in a safe environment.
I have been working at St Swithin Nursery since 2009. I achieved the HNC Early Education and Childcare qualification while studying at college and last year I completed the Children's Care Learning and Development level 4.
I have experience in various roles within the nursery from Practitioner, Room Leader and then onto Deputy Manager in July 2016. This role has been a great opportunity for me as I am able to implement the knowledge and skills I gained while studying the level 4 qualification.
I enjoy spending time daily within both the baby and infant departments supporting the staff in their practice as well as building relationships with the children and their families.
I have always had a passion for working with young children and feel lucky to have such a rewarding job.
The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
