A place to grow

St John's Wood Day Nursery and Preschool offers childcare and education for children aged 3 months to 5 years. The 2 storey purpose-built nursery is located in a leafy residential area of St John's Wood. We offer a warm, welcoming environment supporting the transition from home to nursery, including spacious rooms with separate changing areas.

Our outdoor space consists of two separate gardens, where children grow their own plants. Children are further able to explore their surroundings and learn about the wider world through walks and outings in the local area.

An enhanced Preschool class with a smart board and a range of activities, including Growing Readers, Growing Writers, and Growing Mathematicians, helps to prepare children for school.

Our unique Healthy Hearts and Minds activities provide inspirational and engaging learning experiences using the innovative and well established Boogie Mites and myHappymind programmes.

Meals are freshly prepared in our onsite kitchen and meet each child’s individual dietary requirements.

Meet the Team

Finsbury Park Day Nursery and Preschool Manager

Tania Patricia Infante da Costa e Silva

I have been workng in early years for 23 years. I began my career in primary schools, nurseries and had the opportunity to work alongside War Child where I helped set up learning facilities in Africa.

I have been managing Bright Horizons nurseries for the past eighteen months and feel very passionate about Bright Horizons mission in motion and the quality of childcare provisions.

I am fun and caring and will do everything I can to ensure that our children at St Johns Wood have the best possible start in life.

St. John's Wood Nursery and Preschool Deputy Manager

Becca Milsome

I have been working in childcare for twelve years. I joined Bright Horizons in 2009 and was promoted to Deputy Manager in February 2016.
I have been part of Bright Horizons for over 6 years. My passion has always been working with young children and I have grown from a nursery practitioner upwards. I have a wide range of experience working with all the ages groups from Babies to Toddlers and then progressing in 2-3’s and Pre-School. I help and support my team to create a fun, stimulating, safe environment. My main focus in childcare is ultimately to provide a home from home setting where children can be themselves whilst exploring and developing in a safe environment.

Candy Floss

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!

Why Bright Horizons
