I joined Bright Horizons in 2017 as Deputy Manager in our Poole nursery, then joined Bright Horizons Southampton as Nursery Manager in 2019 - bringing my 15 years’ experience spanning in both Hampshire and Dorset, in a variety of different settings.
Every day is different in early years and in my role I can be in the office looking at budgets on a spreadsheet and next minute in the garden being sold an imaginary ice cream for 50 pounds and reading 5 stories in a row.
I love working with all age groups and really enjoy when children question how and why. They make you think and you can learn and explore alongside them together.
My hobbies are dog walking and films.
During my time here I have worked as a nursery nurse, a room manager in preschool and now as deputy nursery manager.
I spend time within all the groups interacting with all the children meeting with parents and building trust, strong relationships are very important and are at the heart of all we do.
I support staff throughout the day in all kinds of situations and help them with any questions or queries they may have.
My role as Keeping Everyone Safe Officer allows me to do this to the best of my ability.
The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
