An Outstanding Nursery on Ipswich Road

Our Outstanding nursery in Slough supports your child’s development from the age of 3 months to 5 years. Our bespoke settling in period gives you and your child the opportunity to become familiar and confident with our nursery at a pace that suits you both.

Slough Day Nursery boasts an impressive adventure garden that is constantly evolving with the seasons and mirrors the children’s interests in the classroom. This includes a large train so children can explore different ways of moving, a 'mark-making' area with various writing tools and sizes of paper, a construction area with different sized bricks, soft foam bricks and connective balancing beams.

The staff team at Slough nursery are well trained in developing your children’s interests and allowing them to grow. Using Bright Horizons Growing Enhancements, we are able to develop and create new, fun ideas to ensure your child will be ready for school. Each month there will be a different focus around a specific enhancement. This will be showcased in reception with activity ideas for you to take home.

We are conveniently based within Europe’s largest trading estate. We are in a prime location for businesses within the estate and are close to Burnham and Slough train stations for commuters to London.

Our unique Healthy Hearts and Minds activities provide inspirational and engaging learning experiences using the innovative and well established Boogie Mites and myHappymind programmes.

As one of the leading nurseries in Slough we are well within the catchment of a number of local primary and infant schools, including Cippenham Infant, Cippenham Primary, Priory Primary, Our Lady of Peace Primary and Arbour Vale Primary, which is a specialist SEN school.

We will be delighted to welcome you to Slough Day Nursery and Preschool. Our friendly, experienced and highly qualified staff are on hand to conduct a personal nursery tour at a time to suit you.

I am the Deputy Manager at Slough Bright Horizons Day Nursery and Preschool. I am qualified in Cache Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education. I have been working at Bright horizons for 4 years.

I thoroughly enjoy working here and helping both staff, parents and children feel safe, happy and respected.  Meeting and socialising with new people also helps me learn new things and ways that I could help make our nursery even better!

Candy Floss

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!

Why Bright Horizons

The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
