An outstanding nursery in Rugby

Welcome to Rugby Day Nursery and Preschool. At our Ofsted Outstanding nursery, we provide the very best care and education for children from 3 months to 5 years.

Inspiring Areas for All Ages

Babies love spending time in our calm but inspiring baby rooms, where we follow their routines from home as closely as possible. We also have a cosy sleep room for nap time.

Our toddler and preschool rooms are designed to encourage independence and help your little one prepare for their next steps. From arts and crafts areas and an IT station, to role play corners and cosy reading nooks, there is so much for your child to discover and learn.

Preschoolers are taught by a qualified preschool teacher using our specialised Ready for School programme. Our preschool teacher meets with local schools to understand what skills your child will need when starting school. This special connection helps make the transition as smooth and easy as possible for your child.

A Bright Beginning for Every Child

Designed by our Early Years specialists, your little one will get the best start to their schooling life through our enriching and wellbeing-focused Bright Beginnings Curriculum.

Building on the foundations of the government's EYFS curriculum, it combines a wide range of activities to nurture and develop the skills your child needs to flourish and reach their full potential. This holistic yet personal approach supports each child's wellbeing, development, and progress - whether that's moving rooms or preparing them for school.

Children also enjoy Boogie Mites music sessions where they can learn about the world through music and song.

You can stay updated with your child's day through our Bright Horizons Family app.

Going the Extra Mile

We link up with other nurseries in the local area, to share knowledge and understand what activities and schemes they participate in and whether it's something that could work for our nursery.

We also work with speech and language therapists and physiotherapists to help children who need extra support.

Garden Adventures

The children have freeflow access to their own age-appropriate garden spaces, allowing them to continue their fun and learning outdoors whenever they wish. We also have a lovely forest area, which is the perfect place for a bug hunt and learning about nature.

All-Inclusive Care and Convenience

  • Nutritionally balanced meals are prepared by our onsite chef. Our all-inclusive care extends to nappies, snacks, wipes, and creams.
  • Our nursery in Rugby is close to Rugby train station.
  • Limited funded only places are available.

Candy Floss

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!

Why Bright Horizons

The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
