The nursery offers four individual home-bases, each tailored to your child’s age group as well as an external play area where the children can flourish and explore while building a lifelong love of learning. All age rooms have been designed to be flexible and have good access to the garden.

Children in the nursery are well prepared to transition to school with our Ready for School Programme which includes Growing Readers, Writers and Mathematicians. Our extra-curricular activities include Boogie Mites and myHappymind, encouraging a healthy lifestyle from a young age.

Meet the Team

Clapham Village Deputy Manager

Hasan Ostad-Saffari

I have worked in childcare for over 14 years and hold a degree in Early Years. I joined the Bright Horizons family in 2015 at our Active Learning West Hampstead Day Nursery and Preschool. Prior to joining Bright Horizons I worked at an Ofsted rated Outstanding Nursery in Manchester.

I have a strong passion for coaching, role modelling and supporting the team to deliver warm, supportive care and exciting learning opportunities. Hasan has worked in childcare for 14 years and holds a degree in Early Years. He joined the Active Learning group at West Hampstead in 2015, having moved from Manchester where he had been managing an independent nursery.

Palmers Green Day Nursery and Preschool Deputy Manager

Sheona Aird

My journey started over 8 years ago and I have experience working with all ages throughout early years settings.

In 2013 I joined Bright Horizons Highbury has Room Manager for the 2-3 year old’s, leading a team of 2-4 people. I then went on to join the team at Crouch End as Room Manager where as a nursery we achieved an Outstanding Ofsted rating.

I am greatly enjoying my role as Deputy Manager at Palmers Green and love to watch the children grow and develop throughout their nursery journey.

Candy Floss

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!
