Bright Horizons' Waterways nursery in Oxford is located on the Waterways Housing development, off Elizabeth Jennings Way in Summertown. We offer care and education for children aged 3 months to 5 years.
Purpose-built in 2007, our nursery boasts bicycle park and buggy storage facilities. The rooms are spacious and our fantastic large outdoor environment with a nature garden, growing area and age appropriate equipment is ideal for all children to learn and develop. Convenient parent parking at the nursery allows for safe drop off and pick up times.
Our highly qualified and longstanding staff team are dedicated to providing exceptional care and education for all children. We were awarded 'Good' at our most recent Ofsted inspection. An enriching Ready for School programme gives every child the opportunity to gain knowledge and confidence to thrive in school and beyond.
Fees include all meals and snacks, branded nappies, cream, bottles and formula baby milk as appropriate. Excellent nutritionally balanced menus are freshly prepared on site by our Chef catering for all dietary requirements.

I have worked in childcare for the last 30 years having initially obtained the NNEB at Oxford College, and latterly graduating from Oxford Brookes University with Senior Practitioner Status, and the University of Gloucester with BA Hons in Early Childhood Studies. My career has enabled me to work all over the world.
Since having children of my own, I taught in an Early Years setting for 8 years before becoming a nursery manager 12 years ago. I very much believe in children learning in a play based natural environment, with opened ended opportunities to enhance their development, scaffolded by a child led team of staff.
I have been with the company for 13 years working across different settings in the Oxford area. I have been working in childcare for 18 years. I have a level 3 NVQ in Childcare and Level 3 NVQ in management. I have worked in all positions up to Deputy Manager and beyond, my knowledge and experience has grown to provide the best childcare experience for the children possible. I enjoy and feel touched when I see the children grow with confidence knowing I had a part in their development.
The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
