Meet the Team

Lee Park Day Nursery and Preschool Manager

Leanne O'Reilly

Since joining a small nursery setting back in 1999, I knew then that the Early Years sector was for me. Starting as an apprentice and working my way through qualifications I gained my NVQ 2/3 by the age of 18. As the years passed, I have become a Nursery Manager where my experiences and knowledge now help to support a nursery team to achieve and reach their full potential. I have since gone on to achieve my Foundation Degree in Early Childhood Education.

My previous experience has given me a strong ability to accept and meet challenges, enjoy responsibility and relish new situations. Throughout my years of working in different roles my primary focus has always been helping children reach their full potential and this is something that I wish to continue with.

I believe in creating a warm and exciting environment for children, staff and families. The best part of working with young children is witnessing first-hand how children grow and development. Knowing that you had an impact in supporting and nurturing them all individually and giving them the curiosity to learn.

During my time away from the nursery environment. I spend my days exploring country parks and unsuccessfully avoiding muddy puddles with my two Labradors, Buddy and Zuko.

I have been at Northcote Road Day Nursery since 2016, where I started as the Baby Room Leader. Shortly after I gained the title of Third In Charge and from then I knew I wanted to be in a leadership role, so in 2017 I took the opportunity to become Deputy Manager.

I started my journey at Bright Horizons in 2014 where I worked at another nursery as Bank staff, then Nursery Nurse and then Senior Nursery Nurse.

Before I joined Bright Horizons I studied for my degree in BA Early Childhood Studies. I hope to continue my journey with Bright Horizons for years to come.

Candy Floss

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!
