Your little ones will experience warm and welcoming care from 3 months to 5 years, for 51 weeks of the year, ensuring your child has consistency and feels safe, happy and secure in their surroundings.

Designed by our Early Years specialists, your little one will get the best start to their schooling life through our enriching and wellbeing focused Bright Beginnings Curriculum. Building on the foundations of the government's EYFS curriculum, it combines a wide range of activities to nurture and develop the skills your child needs to flourish and reach their full potential. This holistic yet personal approach supports each child's development and progress - whether that's moving rooms or preparing them for school.

Fresh, seasonal hot and cold meals are prepared onsite to inspire your child's interest in healthy food. Bright Horizons Mount Carmel Day Nursery and Preschool Manager

Rita Lemos

I joined Bright Horizons as a Nursery Deputy Manager and made my way up and was promoted to Nursery Manager helping to support and lead the team at Mount Carmel. I have a Level 3 in Childcare and Education, a Level 3 SENCo and a BSc degree in Education from the University of Southampton.

I'm a passionate, energetic and versatile individual within the education field, and I enjoy supporting staff development to ensure we are creating the best opportunities for children to become confident, social and happy individuals, whilst being able to learn new skills, ready for their school years. I am very proud to work alongside such an outstanding team.

Tishaynie Kelly-Smith

I joined Bright Horizons back in 2013 as a Bank Staff while studying at University. I quickly realised my passion for working with children and completed my Level 3 qualification in Childcare with the company. Since then I have worked my way up from Room Leader to Third in Charge and to Deputy Manager at Mount Carmel.

I am passionate about providing quality and fun opportunities for learning through play and helping to teach valuable life skills that children and staff can take with them throughout life. I enjoy encouraging and supporting my team deliver the best care possible

I have been working at Bright Horizons Mount Carmel since 2014. I started as a bank staff when I was studying Early Childhood Studies at University. Working with children has always been my passion! My experience so far has been amazing as I've been able to progress and develop professionally, and create wonderful bonds with my team, children and parents.

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!
