Longfield Day Nursery and Preschool is a beautiful children's nursery located in Longfield.
Never forgetting that the nursery is ‘for the children’ it is important that the children are consulted and given hands-on involvement on a day-to-day basis. We understand that a successful nursery is built on the experience of motivated, happy staff and we realise the importance of their development. An enriching Ready for School programme gives every child the opportunity to gain knowledge and confidence to thrive in school and beyond.
By combining good management skills, staff that work as a team and continuous training, we aim to achieve a reputation of excellence. We strive to provide nursery care that involves parents and if we can go the extra mile, we do.
However small the issue, to ease the difficulties of leaving a child in the care of others, we will work to reassure that your child is in safe hands.
Where possible we look to offer flexible booking patterns and a range of funding options, including the government's 30 hours funded childcare* provision. To request pricing and availability, please request a call back by clicking the button below.

My career in the early years sector has grown over the last 12 years through different roles. This has given me opportunity to gain knowledge and understanding of the areas within an early year setting. I have completed my NVQ level 2, 3 and 4 in early years care and education. My passion for career progression allows me to support my team’s knowledge and self-development.
I have been with Bright Horizons since 2012 being part of an acquisition.
As a manager I believe the children are the centre of all we do, and by supporting the team we create enabling environments for all children. Given them opportunity to explore and be involved in a variety of play activities.
I am also a mum to 3 boys, my youngest has always attended the nursery setting. This has allowed me to see nursery life from a parent’s perspective. Given me the understanding that the parents need to feel and know they are leaving their child in a safe and secure environment where they can learn and grow.
Julie joined Hickory House in September 2006 and has a level 4 qualification in childcare. Julie is also our forest school leader and enjoys spending time with the children exploring the outdoor learning environment.
The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
