Welcome to Livingston Early Learning Centre, which has been recognised by the Care Inspectorate as being a Very Good nursery in their latest inspection. At our nursery in Livingston, our warm and nurturing staff provide the best care and early education for children aged 3 months to 5 years.
Excellent Resources for Every Age
Your child will thrive in our Livingston nursery. Each bright and spacious room offers a wide range of resources and activities to help your child develop and learn about the world around them.
Babies love our vibrant sensory rooms and have their own nappy room and milk kitchen. Our toddler and preschool rooms are designed to encourage independence and help your little one prepare for their next steps. From arts and crafts areas and role play corners, to cosy reading nooks, there is so much for your child to discover and learn.
Getting Ready for Their Next Steps
To ensure your little learner is confident to start school, preschoolers take part in our Ready for School programme, which structures and brings focus to maths, reading, writing and other essential skills they need to get ready for school.
All children also enjoy Boogie Mites music sessions where they can learn about the world through music and song.
You can stay updated with your child's day through our Bright Horizons Family app.
Adventures in the Garden
Your little one will love spending time in our bright and exciting garden, which offers freeflow access from the older classrooms. The garden is split into age-specific areas and features a wide range of resources to encourage play and active learning.
The mud kitchen is a great place to whip up mud pies, and the growing space offers the opportunity for your child to learn about healthy food choices. We also have a separate bike and scooter area to practise balance and motor skills.
Getting to Know the Community
The children love our regular adventures out and about to get to know their local community and build confidence in new surroundings. We frequently visit the local parks and library, and we often head out on exciting nature walks.
We also host our annual Christmas party and nursery graduation in the local school's hall, giving parents opportunities to make memories with their little ones and get to know other parents.

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.
Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!
The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
