Meet the Team

Bright Horizons Hendon Day Nursery and Preschool Manager

Tia Green

I have been working in childcare for 12 years and after completing a BA Hons in Early childhood studies, I started my first full time role in early years with Asquith (now Bright Horizons) in 2012.

I have been fortunate to work across 3 settings within the company, providing me with great experiences and opportunities, as I have worked my way up from a Nursery Nurse through all the roles.

I continue to be very passionate about promoting the wellbeing and professional development of my team, ensuring we provide a high quality and diverse learning environment for the children and families.

I have lived in North West London for most of my life so I am excited to return to a nursery in this vicinity and I intend for my journey at Hendon Day Nursery to be a very long and prosperous one.

I have achieved BA Hons in Early Years Education Studies and have worked in childcare for 5 years. I joined Asquith in 2015 until we joined Bright Horizons Family Solutions and managed to work my way up. It is very important for me to create a provision that will enhance and support children's development.

I am very keen on scaffolding children's learning and following their lead and believe that they will all strive as we give them the best early years' experience. I am very excited to start my journey with Hendon Day Nursery.

Candy Floss

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!

Why Bright Horizons

The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
