Dulwich Day Nursery and Preschool provides care and early education for children aged 3 months to 5 years. The nursery pride themselves with a real community, family feel, offering that intimate ‘home from home’ environment for all of our children and parents.
With the nursery being a small placement setting, the staff and children are like one big family. All of the children are not only comfortable and familiar with their key worker, but with the entire staff team including the chef! We also offer a full month settling in to ensure our families are comfortable with the transition and this is tailor-made around each individual parent and child.
All of our rooms are well resourced with a fun and creative yet cosy environment to grow, learn and develop within. Our extra-curricular activities include Boogie Mites and myHappymind, encouraging a healthy lifestyle from a young age.
Our children enjoy weekly trips to the local park, library and farm plus we have links with the local primary schools too and join some of their school trips! The nursery also host lots fun filled family events such as our annual Sports Day, Teddy bears Picnic and Graduation Day.

I have twenty six years’ experience within nursery settings, including a management portfolio of twenty years. I graduated in 2000 with a BA in Early Years and hold a formal level 3 Early Years certificate. I will be the designated Safeguarding Officer for Dulwich Day Nursery and I hold both First Aid at Work and Paediatric First Aid certificates.
My vision is to continuously provide quality childcare and an excellent service for all children and their families and I will work hard to ensure that we are providing the very highest standards of childcare possible.
Having managed several high profile nurseries and helped build their practice to a high standard, my goal has always been to ensure parents are not only satisfied with the practice, but reassured that each individual child's safety, development and care is at the forefront of our aims.
I am honoured to have joined the Dulwich team and to be part of all of the wonderful families here. I believe that forming strong relationships with all families is key to delivering quality childcare.
My great passion is to inspire my staff team to ensure that all children within the setting are provided with exceptional childcare and take the greatest care to provide the right level of support and encouragement ensuring all children grow in confidence, build on important social skills and learn at their own pace in an enabling and creative environment. The key to a successful nursery is the engagement of the whole team, so celebrating success and recognising the staff’s hard work is a highly regarded part of my role and I am looking forward to getting to know all the staff team and sharing the great work they do each and every day.
I started my BH journey with Asquith in 2017 as a room leader for preschool, soon progressing into third in charge. I moved over to BH Dulwich in February 2018 as third in charge/ Head of unit for baby room.
I become supernumerary overseeing both baby room and preschool and by May I was acting deputy manager, taking on main responsibilities such leading the team and dealing hands on with parent enquires. In November 2018 I become assistant manager.
I have a level 3 in childcare/play work (previously I was an after school/holiday club manager). I enjoy leading a team, having the ability to over sea the learning outcomes for child and sharing my knowledge.
The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
