A stunning and welcoming nursery in Chelsea

Situated near Battersea Park, The Lister Hospital, and less than 15 minutes' walk from Sloane Square Station, Chelsea Day Nursery and Preschool has been expertly designed to support your child's development, from the age of 3 months to 5 years.

The staff ensure your child receives the best care and education, right from baby to preschool. At the earliest stage, our free settling in sessions ease the transition from home to nursery. Rising threes can enjoy a wealth of exciting, educational activities on their learning journey, and pre-schoolers benefit from an enriching 'Ready for School' programme. This gives every child the opportunity to gain the knowledge and confidence to thrive in school and beyond.

Our nursery in Chelsea features a large outdoor space, separated into two freeflow gardens to give children independence in their play. In addition to this, trips further afield to Battersea Park and local libraries encourage the children's familiarity with their local community.

Safety is our number one priority. All our practitioners are First Aid trained and all nurseries have specialist SEND staff for children who require additional support due to special educational needs.

The nursery has been awarded an Ofsted rating of 'Good' for their commitment to high quality childcare and education.

We will be delighted to welcome you to Chelsea Day Nursery and Preschool. Our friendly, experienced and highly qualified staff are on hand to conduct a personal nursery tour at a time to suit you.

I have been with Bright Horizons for 13 years and I hold a Level 3 qualification in Childcare and Development. My career has spanned many roles, starting from an unqualified bank member of staff moving all the way up to management.

I enjoy supporting the team to ensure we are providing exceptional care and learning for each individual child.

I look forward to continuing my management journey at Bright Horizons Chelsea and watching the children flourish!

I have been in childcare 14 years and progressed to Level 4 in Childcare.

I enjoy teaching all children under my care and listening to their point of view on current events.

I love planning and challenging their learning always with the children's interest at heart.

Candy Floss

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!

Why Bright Horizons

The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
