Wavendon Pre-School & Day Nursery is set in a converted bungalow surrounded by wonderful gardens, which gives our nursery a comforting home-from-home approach.

We are located in a lovely fast growing village, that has direct route to the centre Milton Keynes and less than 2 miles away from Junction 13 of the M1.

Our caring and well qualified staff team are passionate about childcare and looking after children. They ensure that each child receives individual care focused around their needs and is supported to learn and develop at their own rate. We have four individual rooms which are fully equipped with age appropriate resources specific to helping your child learn and develop at each age and stage. The rooms are well equipped with community playthings furniture and toys.

The learning environments are brought to live by our creative role play areas. Imaginations are ignited. Our nearest primary schools in the Milton Keynes area are Wavendon Primary, Swallowfields and Brooklands. We will be delighted to welcome you to Wavendon Pre-school & Day Nursery.

Candy Floss

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!
