Meet the Team

Julia Warsop

I am currently undertaking a BA Hons Degree in Early Years.

I am a hard-working enthusiastic individual with a heartfelt passion for working with children. I endeavour to help all children reach their full potential physically, emotionally and spiritually by implementing the core values underpinned within 'British Values'.

My motivation is to nurture young children, working in partnership with their families in order for children to reach their fullest potential and become resilient individuals to make a positive contribution in society.

Through my experience, I have acquired a skill to tune into the individual needs of the child and differentiate activities and experiences for children based on their interests, ensuring that children are highly motivated within their own learning.

My main role within this establishment is to ensure and maintain a high-quality provision following the guidelines set by Ofsted and the local authority as well as being compliant to government initiatives and legislation, ensuring health and safety is maintained across the board.

One of my key strengths is my ability to adopt under ideals of principles of people management including the ability to motivate others. Resulting in increased productivity and efficiency to the setting, where staff display high levels of job satisfaction and morale. I have mentored and trained at a management level and support the staff team within their own professional development.

As nominated person for previous settings, I have led by example through their Ofsted inspections and received a consistently good rating at each inspection.

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!
